We replaced all of that with a small digital scanner. We simply glide it over your tooth and a precise 3D model appears on the screen in minutes. It is clean, comfortable, and far more accurate, which means a crown that fits the way it should the first time.
First, we gently prepare the tooth and capture it with the digital scanner. Next, Dr. Pedersen designs your crown right on the screen, shaping it to match the size, bite, and contours of your natural teeth.
Then our in office milling unit carves your crown from a single block of high strength ceramic while you wait. We match the color to the teeth around it, refine the fit, and bond it firmly in place the same day. You watch your new tooth come to life from start to finish.
